Dien Chan Targets: The Nervous System, Inflammation, Lungs, Heart, Musculoskeletal & Kidneys

Zaydimar Reyes will teach us how to practice Dien Chan, massaging areas of the face that will stimulate the nervous system, anti-inflammatory points, lungs, heart, musculoskeletal system and kidneys to bring them into balance.

Underneath the Mask: Skin Care Challenges While Wearing a Mask
Joni Kerr will teach us how to manage skin care challenges while wearing a Mask. We all have unique needs with our complexion whether it be acne, oily skin, rosacea, and eczema as examples. Wearing a mask daily can make these issues harder to manage, as well as new problems like friction on the nose and chin, rashes and clogged pores from daily heat and sweat build up under the mask.

Bring a pad and pencil and be prepared to make some notes. We will go over some basic tips to boost your skin health. You will learn about protecting your skin and treating irritation and acne. A few things can be found in your kitchen! Learn a few ingredients to look for and which to avoid. Mask up with confidence!

July 23, 2020 - Sandra Hicks, Raena Tripp-Mason & Amanda Wettstein

Gua Sha for Everyone

Sandra Hicks will teach us the art of Gua Sha with simple DIY tips. You can effectively use what you already have in your home as a tool.

Acupressure for Headache and Sinus Relief

Raena Tripp-Mason teaches us how acupressure is one way to help relieve sinus pressure and other symptoms. This traditional treatment is based on the same methods as acupuncture in Traditional Chinese Medicine — it even uses the same points. But instead of needles, pressure is placed at certain points on your face and body using your hands and fingers. Acupressure simply works on the basis of different meridians present in our body. Meridians are the energy lines (chi) present in various parts of our body. Stimulating these points or energy lines and clearing up blockages in the meridians can help in internal healing as these energy lines are connected to various organs. The skills you will learn during this presentation are life-long and can be used to help many conditions such as sinus and air flow problems, headaches, nose bleeds, eye strain. It helps overall improvement of muscle toning, facial contour and stimulation of circulation and nutrient flow to facial skin.

Learn about the gut-skin relationship!

Amanda Wettstein will talk about how taking care of your gut can lead to beautiful, radiant skin. Additionally, we teach us how to make a DIY mask with probiotic ingredients to nourish our skin from the outside as well. Here are the ingredients you will need for the DIY probiotic mask: - jojoba oil - raw honey - 2 capsules of a good quality probiotic - teaspoon - small bowl - spoon - clean brush for face (could be a makeup brush) - something to pull hair back with.

July 30, 2020 - Pam Edmondson & Taleaha Von Slaughter

Dien Chan Morning Massage for Everybody

Pam Edmondson will introduce 12 morning facial massages of Dien Chan Multireflexology that anyone can perform to help their body find strength for natural auto-regulation and improved wellness. "Dien Chan" is a form of reflexology. Reflexology implies the principle that by stimulating one part of the body, another part of the body is rebalanced. You don’t need any special tools or training. She will show us, how with just a few minutes each day and our own two hands, we can maintain health, prevent illness, enhance youthfulness and increase tonicity. Plus they feel great!

Honey Tapping: Facial & Massage
Taleaha Von Slaughter will teach you all about a sweet holistic facial technique called honey tapping. Honey tapping uses the sticky quality of honey to gently encourage lymph and blood circulation. Honey is a wonder substance that has antimicrobial, antioxidant, enzymatic, hydrating, and gentle exfoliating properties. Your skin is going to love this easy stimulation technique. Make sure you have raw honey on hand, as raw is the only kind with all the great benefits we're going for.
After honey tapping we'll use an herbal compress to remove our sweet treatment, so have a few Tablespoons of a loose herb like chamomile, green tea, calendula, rose petals, or plantain to use plus a French press or heat proof glass measuring cup and strainer, plus a washcloth and towel.
