Description
Intense Ion Hydration Tonique is a treasure trove of minerals to restore hydration balance and support cellular health. We cold brew our herbal infusion for this toner for an entire week to maximize the nutritive value. Patience is key, and the herbs offer up their bounty. We use leaves, stems, roots, and fruits to make it a balancing, complete plant experience.
Organic roots from Burdock, Dandelion, and Comfrey bring earth-based minerals, tannins, and allantoin. All through the summer plants draw up nutrients from the soil that can help skin health. We serve them up for you in each spray. Heather flowers bring the flavonoid Quercetin and Organic Oatstraw, Horsetail, and Plantain continue to soothe and rebuild the skin.
We also go to the sea for Organic Kelp and Dead Sea Salts - important sources of trace nutrients. Sodium PCA supports the skin's hydration balance.
A gorgeous Organic Cucumber Hydrosol rounds out our blend. Indulging in its crisp, green aroma will leave your senses refreshed and skin cooled.
The essential oil blend in this product has a simple, herbal, unisex aroma to it. Essential oils in our products are included for their therapeutic properties and not just for scent.
Blissoma's toners are not astringents. They are actually hydrating for your skin. You can use them after cleansing and before moisturizing like many lines recommend. If you are using our Fresh Mild Rice Cleanser or Free Rejuvenating Herbal Gel Cleanser your skin won't actually need PH balancing, as those are acidic cleansers that won't disturb your acid mantle.
Do you really need a toner? Well, that's up to you. Toner is not a mandatory step in our opinion, but can be beneficial in increasing overall hydration and nourishment. Some people really love this step in their skincare routine. We have also made sure to create them with ingredients that we handle differently than in some of our other emulsion based products. That means these carry a different nutrient load than our creams, so even the same herb in both products may yield different phytonutrients because of a different production process.
Toner can also be used as a refreshing mist throughout the day. Keep a toner in your desk at work or in the fridge to give yourself a cool spritz on warm days. You can also use our toners to set your mineral makeup, such as Alima Pure foundation or blush. A couple sprays will lay the minerals down into the skin so that the makeup blends seamlessly in.
Our mineral-rich herbal spray won Best Facial Toner!
Tone Intense Hydration Tonique won Best Facial Toner in the 2016 Gorgeously Green Beauty Awards hosted by Sophie Uliano.
This earthy, fresh spray is a great fit for a wide range of skin needs.
Allison says, "I absolutely love this toner. It feels so refreshing during application and then does a great job moisturizing. I can use way less of my moisturizer when I use it, and it reduces redness in my problem areas. Toner was not a necessary part of my routine until I met this toner. I'm hooked now!"
